Has anyone got anything to say positively about this game. Will go for an Ayr win but mibbee naw.

Jeff Vader

I have a funny feeling this one will actually turn out alright. Not sure why but I do!

ghostofjimmysmith

I will go for Ayr to not lose ( win or a draw) - that is the positive.

The negative if we lose we probably deserve to finish 9th as we will have lost to Arbroath three times this season. Have a feeling we will post much rage on 30th April as Morton and Arbroath conspire to draw 0-0 and leave us in 9th place.

At least for now the goal difference is worth a point. Bit rubbish next weekend as Morton will know what they need to do against Hearts on the Tuesday night before playing Alloa on the Saturday.

Really can't believe we are in this mess - coming round to having some sympathy for Hopkin - has had zero luck with injuries and inherited shambles - still had hoped for better.

Let's hope it is like McCalls first few months and despite squeaky bums it all pans out alright.

Clinging onto Ayr's unpredictability tbh.

Must not lose.
Dreading the thought of going into the final game needing a win while Morton play Arbroath.

Dick Campbell loves playing against Ayr,always has done no matter
what team he was manager of.He will be wetting his pants at the thought of us going up there. We are really up against it in this match.Have our players got the character to come through this
massive test??.

So this is a test of character. And when I say character,  I mean are they a team of honest professional players or a bunch of spineless wage thieves as DickMalone says who owe it to the club who pay their wages and the fans who support them and put their hands in their pockets each week.

If they win, I think we'll stay up and it will come down to Arbroath and Morton in the last game to see who ends up in the play offs.

Lose or draw and I think we're in the playoffs as I can't see us getting enough from the QoS or Inverness games.

Absolute pathetic. Players that can't play ...a manager who seems unable to manage or encourage our so-called players. As for our directors...

A regular contributor to this forum earlier in this thread stated"he could not believe we were in this mess",we have previous form for
this!,lots of it,about forty two years worth!.Get the buckets and spades looked out,we will be needing them shortly.

MANAGER. NO FECKIN HOPE KIN

ghostofjimmysmith

Must win game and already down 4-0 to a part time team - total joke of a squad and a terrible managerial appointment - seriously tell him it hasn't worked out after the game and can he please go away. Also rather watch the under 18's than this shower of sh*te.

Time to show Smith our dissatisfaction - don't buy any more streams and don't buy any season tickets if Hopkin stays in post.

dickmalone

Anyone remember the TV show "Rancid and Hopkin(dismissed).
As GOJS said this was a must win game against a part-time team.
They had 21 shots on goal to our 2.
8 on target to our 1.
This by any standard is unacceptable.

shuggie sproat

Dick Campbell has character in abundance, old school boss who can
motivate and inspire his players. No substitute for experience in any walk of life as we all learn. The Mark Kerr debacle is a sober example of Ayr's constant repeated mistakes, the ironic thing is if
Kerr had stayed on the park rather than the sidelines we would not
be in this predicament.

dickmalone

Hopkin after match comments seemed to imply that the players were not aware of the consequences of their piss poor performance. Is that not what he is paid to do????

TonyH

Absolute disgrace.
No chance this bunch of wasters will make it through four play off games.
Never been so scunnered with a squad of players, what do they actually do all week ?
