With 4 games to go the 17s are in with a chance of winning their League. 5 points behind Morton with a game in hand and still to play Morton away. Will probably have to win 4 on the spin to win the League but in their own hands. Good win away to Airdrie last week , 2-1 , won it with the last kick of the ball and only had 12 fit players !

With Morton getting beat 3-1 by Airdrie at the weekend this 17s League is wide open. Ayr , Morton , Queens Park & Partick Thistle still in with a chance. Big game on Monday night 7.45 pm ko v Queens Park at Lesser Hampden . The proverbial " Must Win " match.

The 17s game at lesser Hampden was finally abandoned in the 70 minute due to a horrific injury to Jai Holland. It looks as though the young striker has broken his leg in 2 places although the extend of his injury is still to be confirmed.

The game was stopped for 40 mins as Jai received treatment. Queens were winning 2-1 at the time. Jai had scored the Ayr goal with a superb 20 yard effort. Hopefully the young striker can come back from this.

Would echo those thoughts ecocme. Was close to tears myself as it was a real bad one. Having watched this young man play football for 3 seasons now I hope to see him back playing asap as he is a great young prospect. Hopefully his team mates can go and win the League for him.

Big game for the 17s tomorrow at the Parklea Sports complex , Greenock Road , Port Glasgow v Morton with a 2pm ko . Why not get along to support the lads.

Youth Reporter

Unfortunately 17s went down 3-1 to Greenock Morton at the weekend and the Ton lift the 17s League.

Hear 17s went down 5-1 tonight up at Lesser Hampden to Queens Park.

Poor end to a season that started so brightly up to Christmas .
